Return To Smallville Season 1 Episode 3 (Hothead)

Go watch episode 3 of season 1 Smallville then listen to B go over his thoughts and talk about it. Hothead is about a crazy coach who gets the power to control fire and will burn anyone who threatens his chances of winning his 200th game.

Love On A Stuffed Unicorn

After a bit of a break from recording (no real excuse just plain laziness) the "B" Man is back with another recording. This week I share a funny clip from Conan's great segment Clueless gamer featuring Witcher 3 and his obsession to have sex in a video game(things get really weird involving a stuffed unicorn). Then cover some news and talk Flash, Arrow, and Age of Ultron.

After a brief intro, and a Bitch 'N With B segment where B complains about shady things other podcasters are starting to do to steal your money we then move onto happier and more exciting things like all the trailers that released over the last week. B finishes up with what he's watching and playing this week.


 

Return To Smallville Episode 1

Recorded the first Return to Smallville episode where I will be re-watching one of my favorite shows of the last decade and talking about each episode on a weekly basis. This first episode I actually cover the first two episodes. The pilot which sets things up nicely, and then the second episode that features bug boy as he joins the list of creepy guys stalking Lana.

Too Much Content To Consume

This week B talks about new project he'll be doing (re-watching and talking about each episode of Smallville). Then we cover all the content available for consumption this week including Netflix original series Dare Devil, Star Wars digital release, and HBO now. In the last segment B talks about what he's watching and playing.

April "Fools" On A Friday Night

Intro: We're heading into first week of April and the long winter seems to finally be letting up a bit. This week is my nephews 6th birthday and I know people say it all the time but it is so true and I am finally experiencing it for myself, time goes by so dam quick. In my head it was just yesterday we were all packing the hospital lobby fighting with each other over who could go up to see him next due to a limitation of two at a time. Now he's turning six, playing video games and telling his grandparents that the moon is always full we are just seeing part of it on days where it looks smaller(I mean really? I thought the moon was made of cheese until about ten years old lol).

Bitch N With B: This past Friday night after the gym I had to stop off at the store on the way home, and once again had to get behind someone using the self check out line who just didn't have a clue. Said person had only a few items but one in particular was a canned god that was bent and must have been pulled from the bargain bin as it had a yellow label on it and I recognize that from when I used to work for this particular store. Anyway due to the dent in the can the bar-code was not being read properly and would not scan, yet this person kept trying and trying because after ten or so tries who knows it might just work right? Granted the fact that the machine was not reading the bar-code was not the customers fault, but after trying a few times this person should have done one of two things. First try manually entering in the numbers on the bar-code up on the screen, now I realize not everyone may know that you can do that so that's where the second and obvious thing to do comes into play. Ask for help, yes it's that simple just ask the cashier who's job it is to monitor and assist with these self check out lines to help you out, that's what they get paid to do and will help move the line.

So this is a two part segment because after leaving the supermarket I stopped off at Taco Bell and happened to get behind yet another winner. This guy was with his little kid and no joking it took him more than five minutes to order two items. I realized things were going badly when I heard him ask the cashier where the kids menu(for the record Taco Bell doesn't have a kids menu) was located. I thought to myself okay this is like that seen from that Pee Wee Herman movie where he asks about the basement at the Alamo. So I figured this is going to take a minute there's no one else in line so let me just use the bathroom here and come back, by then he will have figured out there is no kids menu and ordered something else, right? Wrong, I came back from the restroom and he's still there ordering.

Finally it's my turn to order because they only had one cashier working on a Friday night around dinner time(that makes sense). I ordered a power burrito thingy and it was four something and change, I give the cashier a five and am due back some change when the weirdest thing happens. The cashier takes the change out of the drawer but is slowly handing it to me, I mean really moving in slow motion, almost like he doesn't want to part with it, or like he's not sure the machine is telling him the right amount. He looked like a deer stuck in the headlights. For a moment I thought I was being punked or something it was just so unreal. Then he finally gives me the change and receipt and I thank him while thinking to myself (wtf). So that was my Friday evening and thought it would make a good bitch 'n moment.

News Etc:

Playstation 4's latest update gives us the ability to suspend resume game play when powering off into standby mode. This was a feature promised way back, but we finally have the ability to do so and after playing a few games on my PS4 this weekend I have to admit it's a pretty good quality of life thing to have. You can now literally stop playing a game at anytime power off into standby mode and later on power it back up and continue from the exact point of where you were. Granted this feature is useless in online multi-player type games, but in any single player setting it is a great thing to have.

While we are on the subject of PS4, The Spotify app is now available to download. If you don't know what Spotify is, it's a music streaming service and one of the most popular ones at that. Sony decided to cancel their own streaming service and Spotify is the replacement for this. As of this time Spotify is an exclusive and will not be coming to the Xbox systems anytime soon.

This past weekend we had the Walking Dead finale, and while this should fall into what the B Man's watching segment, the news I want to share is that we got a first look at the teaser trailer for Fear the Walking Dead. Fear the walking dead will be a show coming out this summer and will take place in Los Angeles during the early days of the outbreak. It will feature an entirely different cast and give us something to bite into(pun intended) until the main series comes back next fall.

Along with this teaser, we also had several teaser's for the next Halo game which seems to have a definitive release date at this time. It is scheduled to come out 10-27-15. That seems a way off to start the hype train, but I'm on board.

As we enter April that means it's almost time for out "free" games of the month for xbox live and playstation plus members. Yes more garbage to add to your hard drive. PS4 has Tower of Guns, Aaru's Awakening, and Never Alone. Xbox One has Child of Light and Pool Nation FX. There are also games coming for PS3 and Xbox 360 but since I don't have those systems I'm not bothering to look into it.

Neverwinter is out now for Xbox One, I'm actually interested in at least trying this one out. It's a d&d online multiplayer rpg which are a dime a dozen these days, but considering it's on a console and it's free to play I am curious. I wouldn't expect much though, usually these free to play games are fun for an hour or so and then you hit a pay wall where you have to pay to go further or keep up with other players who have paid. Still it is free so no reason why not worth trying at least.

Watching & Playing:

Well like I mentioned in the news section this past weekend we had the season finale of The Walking Dead and it wasn't half bad. This past season hasn't been my favorite, at times it was actually probably my least favorite but the second half improved enough to keep me interested. Myself and a friend were actually taking bets on how many main characters would be killed off and both of us were shocked by the final number which I won't ruin here for spoiler sake.

On the gaming front, I did end up getting the Handsome Jack Collection. Even though I've played Borderlands 2 to death on prior generation consoles I couldn't resist a current gen update with all dlc as well as the Pre-sequel. So I put a few hours into this game over the weekend, this time playing as the character called Zero, who's basically a cyber ninja looking dude who's specialty move involves becoming invisible for several seconds and taking out enemies with powerful sniper abilities.

End Of The Galaxy

Latest episode is up, recorded using Ipad Mini 2 due to my Galaxy S3 phone finally dying on me. It served me well for last few years and helped bring you guys many a recording but the time has come to move on. This week B complains about bad drivers in bad weather. In gaming B talks Bloodborne, Borderlands Handsome Jack collection, Dragon Age Inquisition dlc, and what he's watching including IZobmie, and the horror flick Trick R Treat.

Happy "B" lated St. Patricks day to all my Irish wanna B's out there. Not much of an episode this week but just wanted to get something out there so decided to record myself while crawling in a lot of traffic on the 287. The end result is the recording below where I discuss what I'm playing (mostly FF A Realm Reborn) and what I've watched over the last week or so (the last hobbit movie, and Snowpiercer).

Live Long And Prosper

This week the "B" Man returns after a little bit of a break. We get a bitch n with B segment complaining about gyms and people at the gyms. Follow that up with a news segment featuring the passing of Leonard Nimoy, Blade Runner sequel, Red Sonja, Harrison Ford plane crash, Expendables on Tv, and Rock Band Returns. Finally B closes out the episode with what he's been playing and watching. All this in the audio below, enjoy!!

 

Transformers Free To Own Google Play Store

Plan on having latest podcast uploaded later today or tomorrow, but wanted to get this info out while available. To celebrate the three year anniversary of the Google play store they are offering the first Transformers film as a free download, just go to the play store look under movies and you should be able to find it easy enough. While I'm not the biggest fan of those films, free is free and if you have any young kids in the family I'm sure they will enjoy seeing giant robots battling it out. I don't know how long the offer will last so act quick.

Valentines Day, Bah Humbug

Mr. Scrooge of Love the B man himself complains about Valentines day like he does every year knowing full well he'll give in and spend money on his significant other just like the rest of the drones out there. Also B goes over the latest news stories including Walking Dead star coming to The Flash, Playstation hosting free multi-player weekend, Evolve game out this week, and a game he's currently playing and enjoying Heroes of the Storm. Trailers and Battlefield Hard Line Beta

Not a terribly long and news worthy episode for the "B" Man but did want to go over a few trailers that dropped including Netflix's Dare Devil, and a reboot of Poltergeist coming out. Also talk about news that Netflix may be working with Nintendo to bring us a live action Legend of Zelda TV show. Finally B closes the episode with some Battlefield Hard Line talk. The Biggest Storm There Never Was

After surviving the big blizzard of 2015 that never actually happened the B Man talks about how people panic at the first talk of snow. B also goes over news including free playstation and xbox games for members of their service for the month of February, Borderlands getting a next gen face lift and coming out in March, The Supergirl TV show and more.
